Community Runners

Community Runners was represented at
Run 4 Hunger in Elmhurst, July 22 2018

CUMC has a band of people who like attending races together. Some of us are speedy, some of us are slow, some prefer to take in the sights.

We often post our activities on Facebook using http://www.endomondo.com/, http://runkeeper.com and others.  We congratulate and encourage each other on our runs/walks/bicycle rides/hikes/swimming; any activity is welcome.

If you have never moved rapidly except to catch a bus, an escaping dog or a toddler, or if you run 5 ultra marathons a year, you’ll find a warm welcome at Community Runners.

On race days, we find each other at the beginning of the race, keep an eye out for each other during the race, cheer each other across the finish line at the end of the race.  Afterwards we head out for breakfast to celebrate the fact that we ran that race rather than sleeping in or sitting on the couch eating bonbons!  Our Facebook Page has upcoming races for which we’ve signed up.

Hope to see you at one of the activities soon! Contact the church office for more information.
