[senior wearing red shirt and black trousers leaning shovel into dirt by yellow flowers]Zucchini or snapdragons? Lettuce or morning glories?

Have you heard of the group of two dozen senior citizens who grow their own food in gardens behind a high-rise tower operated by the Chicago Housing Authority in Wicker Park? Did you know we are partners with them?

CUMC’s Hunger Commission is again spearheading our annual Seed Drive to provide seeds for CHA gardens. We are their only source of seeds and they are extremely grateful for our sponsorship.

During the next three Sundays, stop by the table at the back of the sanctuary and make your seed selection. Buy seeds for your own garden or buy and donate seeds. Both help us with this worthy project.
