The Thanksgiving holiday will be here in a couple of weeks. My mother always loved the holidays because it gave her an opportunity to cook and visit with family. I have to confess that recently there have been times when I almost dread the work associated with getting ready for and hosting; however, looking back on the day, I realize that the work was worth it, not only for others but for me as well.

At our next gathering, we will be talking about the concept of “mutuality” and how, as Martin Luther King, Jr. explained,  “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

Schedule:

  • 1:15 pm – Gathering
  • 1:30 pm – Chapel service with Communion
  • 2:00 pm – Support groups are available for caregivers and survivors

Come for both or either. It is helpful if you could let us know if you are planning to be with us. However, drop-ins are always welcome.
