God Is with Us Now

by Barry Graul, Bart Millard, Jim Bryson, Mike Scheuchzer, Nathan Cochran & Robby Shaffer

Verse 1
Ev’ryone who longs for truth,
needing hope and strength renewed,
come and meet the Savior of the world.
Everyone who longs inside,
desp’rate for the words of life,
come and meet the Savior of your soul.

God is with us now,
his love rains down, his love rains down.
Saved by grace and power
his love rains down, his love rains down.
God is with us now.

Verse 2
Ev’ryone who lives in Christ, died to self and raised to life,
come and praise the Savior of the world.
Ev’ryone who perseveres, faith will overcome all fears,
come and praise the Savior of your soul.

Nothing can ever separate us.
God is with us now.
Nothing can take his promise from us.
God is with us now.
Nothing can take the place of Jesus.
God is with us now.
No more shame, no more fear,
we are free ‘cause God is here.

Chorus [x2]

Opening Hymn

When in Our Music God Is Glorified

United Methodist Hymnal, #68
verses 1, 2 & 3

Verse 1
When in our music God is glorified,
and adoration leaves no room for pride,
it is as though the whole creation cried

Verse 2
How often, making music, we have found
a new dimension in the world of sound,
as worship moved us to a more profound

Verse 3
So has the church in liturgy and song,
in faith and love, through centuries of wrong,
borne witness to the truth in every tongue,

We Came to Meet with You

by Nathan Eshman & David Wakerley

Hey! Ev’ryone is here. We got atmosphere.
We love this place.
Hey! Living diff’rent lives
but we all unite for this one Name.

And when we all come together,
your love is making us better.
The world will see the truth of who you are.

No bigger life than growing up in your house,
where we discover who we can become.
Praising with your people going all out.
We came to meet with you, you, you, you, you. [x2]

John 6:5-15

Looking up, Jesus saw the crowd approaching and said to Philip, “Where can we buy some bread for these people to eat?” Jesus knew very well what he was going to do, but asked this to test Philip’s response. Philip answered, “Not even with two hundred days’ wages could we buy loaves enough to give each of them a mouthful!” One of the disciples, Simon Peter’s brother Andrew, said, “There’s a small boy here with five barley loaves and two dried fish. But what good is that for so many people?” 10 Jesus said to them, “Make the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass there, and as many as five thousand families sat down. 11 Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and gave them out to all who were sitting there; he did the same with the fish, giving out as much as they could eat. 12 When the people had eaten their fill, Jesus said to the disciples, “Gather up the leftover pieces so that nothing gets wasted.” 13 So they picked them up and filled twelve baskets with the scraps left over from the five barley loaves. 14 The people, seeing this sign that Jesus had performed, said, “Surely this is the Prophet who was to come into the world.” 15 Seeing that they were about to come and carry him off to crown him as ruler, Jesus escaped into the hills alone.

verse 2

One bread, one body, one Lord of all,

Holy Communion Responses
United Methodist Hymnal, pages 9 & 10

…we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

…as we proclaim the mystery of faith
Christ has died; Christ is risen;
Christ will come again.

…all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father, now and for ever.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Come to the Table

by Ben McDonald, Dave Frey & Ben Glover

Verse 1
We all start on the outside,
the outside looking in.
This is where grace begins.
We were hungry, we were thirsty,
with nothing left to give.
Oh, the shape that we were in.
Just when all hope seemed lost,
love opened the door for us.

He said come to the table, come join
the sinners who have been redeemed.
Take your place beside the Savior,
sit down and be set free.
Come to the table.

Verse 2
Come meet this motley crew of misfits,
these liars and these thieves.
There’s no one unwelcome here.
So that sin and shame that you’ve
brought with you,
you can leave it at the door
and let mercy draw you near.

To the thief and to the doubter,
to the hero and the coward.
To the pris’ner and the soldier,
to the young and to the older.
All who hunger, all who thirst,
all the last and all the first;
All the paupers and the princes;
All who’ve failed, you’ve been forgiven.
All who dream and all who suffer,
all who’ve loved and lost another,
all the chained and all the free.
All who follow, all who lead,
anyone who’s been let down,
all the lost, you’ve been found.
All who’ve been labled right or wrong,
to ev’ryone who hears this song.

Chorus 2
Come to the table,
come join the sinners,
you have been redeemed.
Take your place beside the Savior,
sit down and be set free.
Oh, sit down and be set free.

Come to the table, come to the table.
Sit down and be set free, come to the table.

We are here, because of those who passed on their faith to us. We are generous, because God has blessed us with gifts beyond imagination. We would pass on these gifts, as well as hope and love, as we offer them to our God, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Song of Sending Forth

All the People Said Amen

by Paul Moak, Trevor Morgan & Matt Maher

Verse 1
You are not alone if you are lonely.
When you feel afraid you’re not the only.
We are all the same, in need of mercy;
to be forgiven and be free.
It’s all you got to lean on
but thank God it’s all you need.

Chorus 1
And all the people said Amen. [x2]
Give thanks to the Lord for his love never ends.
And all the people said Amen.

Verse 2
If you’re rich or poor, well it don’t matter.
Weak or strong, you know love is what we’re after.
We’re all broken but we’re all in this together.
God knows we stumble and fall
and he so loved the world
he sent his Son to save us all.

Chorus 1

Blessed are the poor in spirit who are torn apart.
Blessed are the persecuted and the pure in heart.
Blessed are the people hungry for another start.
For this is the kingdom, the kingdom of God.

Chorus 1 [x2]

And all the people said Amen.
