Our Mission, Vision & Values

Vision Statement

At Community, we form disciples of Jesus Christ who, empowered by the Holy Spirit, love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously in local and worldwide connections.

Mission Statement

The mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Local churches and extension ministries of the church provide the most significant arenas through which disciple-making occurs.

What Does This Look Like at Community?

Spirit-Filled Worship
We create worship experiences that are authentic, inspiring, and connected to everyday life — helping people encounter God through music, prayer, creativity, and community.

Lifelong Formation
Faith is a lifelong journey. We help people of all ages grow spiritually, ask honest questions, and discover how God is calling them to live and serve.

Compassion in Action
We believe faith should make a difference. We serve our neighbors, partner with our community, and work toward justice, healing, and hope.

Belonging Across Generations
Every generation matters. We create meaningful connections between children, youth, adults, and elders because everyone has something to teach and something to receive.

Affirming Community
We believe every person is created in the image of God and worthy of love, dignity, and belonging. Community is an affirming church where all people are empowered to grow in faith, discover their gifts, and fully participate in the life and leadership of the church.

Courageous Innovation
We honor tradition while embracing new ideas, fresh expressions of ministry, and creative ways of sharing God’s love in a changing world.

A Teaching & Equipping Community
We believe in sharing what we learn. Through collaboration, mentorship, and innovation, we seek to strengthen leaders, churches, and community partners beyond our walls.

We are a Reconciling Ministries Congregation

Reconciling Ministries Network is committed to intersectional justice across and beyond the United Methodist connection, working for the full participation of all LGBTQ+ people throughout the life and leadership of the Church. Our welcome knows no boundaries of age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, economic condition, physical or mental ability.
