Knitting Circle

Knitting Circle brought 12 baby sweaters and four love quilts to Midwest Mission Distribution Center, Chatham IL. The sweaters will be used in UMCOR Layette Kits.

The UMW Knitting Circle is over 10 years old and continues to provide handmade items locally and globally, wherever needed.  They have completed 770+ prayer shawls, knitted and crocheted!

They’ve also made lots of baby sweaters and love quilts for UMCOR, shawls for confirmands, over 100 red baby hats for the Little Hats, Big Hearts program for heart month in February, prayer shawls for military families, as well as hats and scarves for various local programs.

You are invited to join the UMW Knitting (and crocheting) Circle.  Yarn, needles, patterns and lessons are provided or you can work on a personal project.

Knitting Circle meets in Room 103, Monday nights, year round, except for holiday Mondays. Contact the church office for more information.
