Meeting Guidelines During Coronavirus Pandemic
The new State of Illinois Executive Order on Covid limits the number of people who can assemble to 10, effective Wednesday, November 11
Any church group or committee wishing to hold a meeting in the building should follow these guidelines:
- Contact the church office with the date of the meeting
- See here for room capacity (updated 2020-07-29)
- All attendees will wear masks
- Room or space will be set up prior to the meeting to ensure social distancing
- Attendees should sanitize hands before entering the meeting room
- Elevator limited to one person
- Anyone not feeling well should not attend
- If anyone in your group tests positive for COVID-19 then those exposed to that individual must wait seven days after receiving a negative test result (test must occur on day five or later) or 10 days without a test
- Benton St door will be unlocked for 10 minutes before and after the meeting start time; this keeps our building safer and helps the custodians in their sterilization of any rooms used
- Outside doors CANNOT be left propped open for any length of time or for any reason
Any outside group wishing to hold a meeting in the building should follow these guidelines:
- Contact the church office with the date of the meeting
- Sign a space-sharing agreement
- Furnish a Certificate of Liability naming Community UMC and the Northern Illinois Conference as additional insured
