Meeting Guidelines During Coronavirus Pandemic
Any church group or committee wishing to hold a meeting in the building should follow these guidelines:
- Contact the church office with the date of the meeting
- Mask wearing is now optional in the building (we recommend that, if you haven’t been vaccinated, are immunocompromised, or are in a higher-risk group, you should continue to wear a mask while in our building)
- It is allowable to consume food/drink in the building
- Attendees should sanitize hands before entering the meeting room
- Anyone not feeling well should not attend
- If anyone in your group tests positive for COVID-19 then those exposed to that individual must wait seven days after receiving a negative test result (test must occur on day five or later) or 10 days without a test
- Benton St door will be unlocked for 10 minutes before and after the meeting start time; this keeps our building safer and helps the custodians in their sterilization of any rooms used
- Outside doors CANNOT be left propped open for any length of time or for any reason
Any outside group wishing to hold a meeting in the building should follow these guidelines:
- Contact the church office with the date of the meeting
- Sign a space-sharing agreement
- Furnish a Certificate of Liability naming Community UMC and the Northern Illinois Conference as additional insured
