Meeting Guidelines During Coronavirus Pandemic

Any church group or committee wishing to hold a meeting in the building should follow these guidelines:

  • Contact the church office with the date of the meeting
  • See here for room capacity (limits apply to unvaccinated people only)
  • Fully vaccinated attendees are no longer required to wear a face covering in accordance with new CDC guidelines. Fully vaccinated is 14 after your second shot or 14 days after your single shot vaccination
  • Attendees that are not yet fully vaccinated are still very strongly encouraged to wear a face covering for their own protection against COVID-19
  • Attendees should sanitize hands before entering the meeting room
  • Anyone not feeling well should not attend
  • If anyone in your group tests positive for COVID-19 then those exposed to that individual must wait seven days after receiving a negative test result (test must occur on day five or later) or 10 days without a test
  • Benton St door will be unlocked for 10 minutes before and after the meeting start time; this keeps our building safer and helps the custodians in their sterilization of any rooms used
  • Outside doors CANNOT be left propped open for any length of time or for any reason

Any outside group wishing to hold a meeting in the building should follow these guidelines:

  • Contact the church office with the date of the meeting
  • Sign a space-sharing agreement
  • Furnish a Certificate of Liability naming Community UMC and the Northern Illinois Conference as additional insured
  • See here for room capacity (limits apply to unvaccinated people only)
