This year’s walk is virtual, but the need is real. CROP Hunger Walk Sunday is NEXT Sunday! The walk supports the Naperville/DuPage Loaves and Fishes Pantry and Community Center, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, and the global Church World Service. Hunger relief agencies are reporting increased need during this time of the pandemic and increased unemployment. If you have enough income to support your family, consider those who can’t afford food, rent, or mortgage. Around the world, Church World Service is preparing for the COVID-19 pandemic to reach less-developed nations.
You can support hungry families, but contributing to walkers from our church. So far, five people from our church have signed up to be walkers including three of our youth. Isaac, Sierra, and Spencer are members of our youth groups. You can become a walker or contribute to one of the walkers from our church by clicking here.
Our goal is $3,000 from our Church and the goal for the walk is $35,000.
The walk is virtual, so you can walk with your family, or with a masked, and distanced group. You can walk anywhere you want. Our regular walk has been 3.2 miles (10 K), but you can walk any distance you want. The important thing is, of course, to help others through your contributions.
