Community Players proudly announces auditions for the cast of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Harvey, by Mary Chase.  Famously made into a movie in 1950 starring Jimmy Stewart, Harvey is the story of Elwood Dowd, who claims to have an unseen friend named Harvey, whom he describes as a 6’3″ rabbit.  The show, directed by Ed Green, has a cast that requires 6 adult men (20+) and 6 adult women (20+), and all roles are available.

All those interested are welcome to the auditions, which are being held on two occasions: Sunday afternoon, February 8, at 2:00 PM, and Monday evening, February 9, at 7:00 PM, both in the CUMC sanctuary and stage.  Auditions involve cold readings from the script.  Interested actors need only attend one audition, but are welcome to come to both.

Those new to Community Players may bring a head shot and resume, and all those planning to audition should bring their list of conflicts for a rehearsal schedule of Sunday afternoons and Monday and Wednesday nights.

The performances are on April 17, 18, 24, and 25, 2015.  For further information, please contact the director (Ed Green
