The Naperville Area CROP Hunger Walk is next Sunday, October 16.  The Walk is an ecumenical effort of 15 churches in Naperville to help hungry families in our community, our region, and around the world.  Last year the Walk raised $56,000 and 400 people walked in either a 5K or a 1K walk.  The Walk helps to support the Loaves and Fishes Community Service, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, and the global work of Church World Service. You can participate by walking and inviting others to sponsor you, sponsoring a walker, and/or donating to your Community United Methodist team online.  Look for the table in the Hospitality Hallway or ask Lynn Pries, see Lynn Pries, Del Hollingsworth, or Kayla Duerr

The CROP Walk will take place at Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E. Gartner Rd. Park in the ‘upper lot’, register in the Fellowship Hall, and gather in the lot near the DuPage River.  Walkers who raise $100 or more will receive a free T-shirt.  Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the walk begins at 1:15 p.m.  Families, youth, and individuals are encouraged to participate.  It is a great way for youth and children to learn how Christians help others.
