The Piper is Coming Back!

The next joint interfaith Senior Fellowship Service  at Community United Methodist Church will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10:30am in the Sanctuary. Our very special guest for the day will be piper Dave Johnson who has been playing the bagpipes for almost 30 years. Currently he is a member of the Chicago Caledonian Pipe Band and is a piper extrodinaire. If you are a You Tube person, check him out…it will sure get your blood pumping! Join us in wearing green to the service in honor of St. Patrick and the Irish.

Our theme for the day will be COURAGE and how our faith in God gives us the ability and willingness to confront fear, pain, danger and uncertainty in our lives. . Our scripture for the day will be Joshua 1:9: “I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

We hope you can join us for our service. Until then, May you always walk in sunshine, may you never want for more, and may Irish angels rest their wings right beside your door.
