Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow.
~Edward Sandford Martin
As we prepare for the Thanksgiving season this year, I thought that this would be a good time for us to take stock of our lives and to see just how thankful we should be. In our STARS service on November 14 we will be doing just that. In preparation, please take a sheet of paper and on one side write as many things that you can think of that are positive in your life; on the other, write all the negative things that you can think of. When we get together, we will be looking at your lists and comparing notes.
Stephen Edwards will be singing for us again as we celebrate the season. We hope you can join us. Our group begins gathering at 1:15 with the 30 minute service to begin at 1:30pm on Thursday, November 14.
Following the service, separate support groups will meet for survivors, those with chronic illness, and caregivers/friends.
There is no charge for attendance; however, donations to support this ministry are welcome.
NOTE: Let us know if you will need childcare by Monday, November 11, so that arrangements can be made.
