God gave us this big, beautiful world to call home! And God gave us, human beings, the responsibility to help care for the plants, oceans, animals, and even each other. This summer, Community UMC is happy to be joined by A New Way and Wesley UMC in offering up what we’re calling “Center Street United VBS”, where our churches and others can come together to hear and learn bible stories of people working to heal and care for God’s world. These stories and their lessons will be further brought to life through crafts, games, music, and science experiments! Also, there will be an opportunity each evening when participants learn about different ways of helping and serving others through mission & service learning!

This is sure to be a fun and meaningful VBS experience, but in order to make it so, we need YOUR help! Whether you can help for the entire week or a handful of days; whether you can help as a leader or an assistant, whether you can help with greeting and registration or in first aid or in the tech booth, however you can help, please sign-up to help! 

And if you can’t give of your time, you can certainly help us through prayer and sharing and spreading the word about VBS to others! So feel free to email this notice to others, and stay tuned in the weeks ahead, as we’ll have items that you can take to help tell others about what’s happening!!
