2026 Summer Reading Program

Readers of all ages are invited to participate in a “CUMC summer reading challenge”. And what would make our reading challenge different from that of your local library? Our biblically-themed tier levels!

• 7 Books = Fullness Level
• 10 Books = Authority Level
• 12 Books = Foundation Level
• 40 Books = Generation Level

Each level represents a “significant number” found in scripture. We’ll have colored-coded book slips that participants can fill out for each level, detailing the books that you read (or you can track your books and report them to Deacon Sharon). Yes, there will be prizes offered throughout the summer for those that complete each level (including a tasty, freshly baked pie!), plus a chance to win a $50 gift card to Anderson’s Bookshop! This will be on an honor system, so please only include books that you read and complete during the designated weeks of the challenge. This summer reading challenge runs from Memorial Weekend (May 24) to Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 6)
