Faithful Action | Love Your Neighbor
The “Love Your Neighbor March” is sponsored by Naperville’s Community United Methodist Church. Other interested members of Naperville’s faith and community organizations are invited to join the march.
The “Love Your Neighbor March” is a public demonstration that our immigrant neighbors are beloved children of God, worthy of dignity, justice, and compassion.
For those who want to participate, but are unable to walk, a time of prayer will be held in the church’s chapel.
Wear blue to signify immigrant support.
Materials for making posters will be available in Fellowship Hall from 12pm to 1pm on the day of the march, as well as some light snacks.
Marchers can gather in Fellowship Hall at 1pm, and the March will begin at the church entrance at 20 Center St. It is anticipated to last one hour, and will cover .9 miles.
The march is a means of putting into action this year’s United Methodist Church’s theme, “Practicing Hope,” and is in response to the church’s regional office’s declaration of September 13 as a Faithful Action Day.
