Goran Ivanovic, Guitarist

Guitarist Goran Ivanovic’s strong classical background is enriched by influences of jazz, Balkan, flamenco, and world music. He performs throughout the United States and internationally and he teaches at the New Music School in Chicago. In addition to solo guitar works, Goran has shared video performances of duets with flutist Steve Yepez and the great jazz guitarist Fareed Haque. Goran and Fareed’s album Seven Boats was deemed the best acoustic guitar album in 2004 by Acoustic Guitar magazine. Their latest album, IndoBalkan, was released in 2020 by Delmark Records. This program features works from both albums.
