Mission activities at Community UMC in Naperville are guided by four general goals consistent with the United Methodist Church’s:

  1. To make disciples of Jesus Christ.
  2. To strengthen, develop, and renew Christian congregations and communities.
  3. To alleviate human suffering.
  4. To seek justice, freedom, and peace.

The active support of Mission work in the world today puts into action Jesus’s words, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength and Love your neighbor as yourself.”  (Mark 12:30).

Mission support is an integral part of the Community United Methodist Church’s identity and focus. CUMC continues to increase its mission engagement through both financial support and the work of volunteers. You can support Mission work at CUMC by:

  • Donating your time and effort towards one of the projects supported by CUMC.
  • Donating financially: In addition to your commitment to support the operations of CUMC, you can contribute financially to one of the Mission projects described here.
