Volunteers in Missions Trips

The United Methodist Church offers many service opportunities. Mission trips are organized locally, nationally, and internationally. Spending our time and talents to help others is the way we put our Christian faith into action. The personal experience is always rewarding. You receive much more than you give.

The Community UMC missions committee helps members of the congregation get connected to the right mission’s project. If you would like more information on missions or the team, please contact us.

For the last three years, Community UMC has partnered with Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity along with other area churches to work on the Faith Build House. If you are interested, we will be working on the following days in 2019: May 4 when we will sort lumber, July 20 when we will be installing insulation or September 7 when will do interior painting.

Community UMC will be doing a mission trip to Detroit from June 2 to 7, 2019 where we will be working with Cass Community Social Services. Cass Community Social Services is a Detroit-based agency with a person-centered philosophy, dedicated to providing food, housing, health services, and job programs.
