Before You Record
Please read through this guide prepared by Ed Green, our video editor extraordinaire who puts our weekly online service together each week.

Note: if you are uploading your video for use in our weekly online service, please have your video uploaded by Wednesday at noon at the absolute latest.
Upload from Your Phone
- If you are uploading from a mobile phone, we recommend you use wi-fi as opposed to your mobile data plan.
- Click the “Choose Files” button to open a file selection dialog. Select the video file to upload.
- On the iPhone, there’ll be a pause, sometimes quite long depending on the length of your video, while the video is being prepped to upload. Be patient, eventually, you’ll be able to click the ‘done’ button.
- Enter your name and email address.
- Your phone will need about the same amount of time to upload as the duration of the video. You should see a progress indicator SLOWLY incrementing. Do NOT hit any additional buttons on your phone until the upload is complete. If your screen blanks because your phone was inactive, that is ok.
- When your upload is complete, you will see a confirmation screen. This sends an automatic notice to CUMC that there is a new video to review. It is safe to ignore the solicitation to create a dropbox account (bottom area). It is now safe to close the browser.
- Send Ed Green an email letting him know to expect your file.
Upload from Your Computer
- Click on the blue “Upload Files” button.
- You will be asked if you want to upload the file from your computer or use a file previously uploaded to dropbox. Select “Choose from Computer”. The file selection dialog will open which allows you to pick the file to be uploaded.
- Enter your name and email then click upload.
- Do not interrupt the file upload until it is fully complete.
